Duckpin Proprietors Excited About Future

Oct 31, 2016

The Duckpin Bowling Proprietors Association of America held a meeting on Monday, October 24, in Atlantic City and enthusiasm still reigns among the owners. While various issues were discussed and the industry has shrunk over the years, those who still own and operate duckpin centers remain excited about the sport and what it has to offer.

DBPA Co-Presidents Ken Staub and Alyson Rineer Taylor led a close to two-hour meeting during which problems and opportunities were discussed. Recognizing that not every issue can be resolved immediately, the group felt the key focus should be on regional and national marketing to get more people bowling duckpins and help grow the game. They plan on consulting with bowling industry marketing professionals to brainstorm ideas.

The association has a lot on its plate but they are being aggressive and moving forward.
